The name Beni Ourain comes from the Berber village of Beni Ourain in the Middle Atlas Mountains, where these cushions originate. We offer many different types of Beni Ourain cushions and matching floor cushions. See if there's one that suits your interior! Handmade Beni Ourain cushions: Originally, Beni Ourain cushions were made from vintage Beni Ourain rugs, often recognizable by their black checked pattern on a white background. Today, our cooperative knots the rugs themselves, so the color of the cushions doesn't become too yellowish. Did you know that a single cushion can consist of thousands of knots? This gives your cushion its original story and makes it unique. The cushions are made by artisans in Morocco with a blend of love, wool, cotton, and years of experience. True craftsmanship! In collaboration with our cooperative in Marrakech, we produce the most beautiful creations. We continuously invest in the personal development of our craftspeople. We are proud to guarantee that every purchase goes directly to the maker of your beautiful cushion. This is crucial and the only way to keep this traditional craft alive.
