Nova collection
All items in the Nova collection are crafted from sustainable teak. The chairs are woven with rattan cane using the traditional caning technique. This cross-weaving process creates a strong and durable seat and backrest.

Rattan is a climbing palm or vine that uses trees for support and can grow up to 100 meters long. Most species grow in the tropical forests of Southeast Asia, 70% of which are in Indonesia.

Teak has been popular for centuries in furniture, construction, and shipbuilding due to its durability and suitability for both indoor and outdoor use. The wood used in Indonesia almost always comes from plantations, which prevents the deforestation of tropical rainforest. Since 2016, the Indonesian government has regulated the timber trade, and all wood is traced back to its source, as part of a FLEGT trade agreement with the EU.

Maintenance
The teak parts have a water-based coating that protects against stains. Use the chair indoors and do not allow liquids to remain on the wood for extended periods. Minor scratches can be treated locally with transparent or light-colored oil. Clean the rattan with a damp cloth and then wipe it with a dry cloth. Do not place the chair near a fire or heater, as the rattan can dry out.
