Our baskets are made from plant fibres, so they smell and feel wonderfully of nature.

Rattan palms usually grow in large numbers in dense forests, where they are considered invasive plants, taking up space from other plants and taking up a lot of nutrients from the soil. The stems, which grow quickly without chemical additives, must be cut regularly and can be used as a material for furniture and baskets after drying. This makes rattan an extremely durable and widely available material.

This basket is handmade in Java, Indonesia.
When selecting our local producers, we attach importance to fair wages and good working conditions. In the factories where we buy our goods, we only work with adult and experienced craftsmen. No harmful chemicals are used in the production process. Since all work steps are carried out by hand, the production process generates hardly any greenhouse gas emissions.
