A set of two hand-felted wall objects in natural beige and natural white merino wool, subtly blended with lustrous Tencel fibers from eucalyptus. Fine Lurex threads run through the works here and there like a soft vein. The two Plexus works reinforce one another through their difference in size, while the soft materials, organic forms, and understated sheen provide cohesion.

This set consists of Plexus V-I and Plexus V-II: two unique wall objects from the Plexus series by Vilt & Vlow. Both works feature a tranquil base of natural beige and white merino wool, with an organic felt form that emerges like a knot. This creates a special interplay of wool, form, shadow, and movement.

The Plexus series requires more material and a more laborious creation process than flatter felted wall works. The forms are carefully built up from wool and fibers, giving the works more relief, depth, and presence. That is precisely what makes this set special: soft and understated in color, but strong in form and character.

The smaller 23 × 23 cm variant brings refinement and lightness. The larger 33 × 33 cm variant adds more presence to the wall. Together, they form a calm, gallery-like composition in which the difference in size provides rhythm and balance.

The Tencel fibers provide a very subtle, natural sheen that only becomes visible when the light hits it. The refined Lurex threads softly catch the light, without the whole becoming overly shiny or decorative. It is precisely this combination of soft wool, organic form, and understated details that makes this set special to view up close.

care & material

The artworks by Vilt & Vlow are made of high-quality, mulesing-free merino wool and natural materials. Wool is naturally dirt- and moisture-repellent and therefore stays beautiful for a long time. Dust can be carefully removed with a feather duster, lint roller, or a hairdryer on a cold, low setting.

Avoid direct and prolonged sunlight to prevent discoloration of the natural materials. Small stains can be carefully dabbed with a slightly damp cloth.
