A hand-felted wall object in natural beige and natural white merino wool, subtly blended with shiny Tencel fibers from eucalyptus. Fine lurex threads run through the work here and there like a soft vein. Plexus V-II is the larger variant in the Plexus series: calm in color, but powerful in shape, relief, and presence.

Plexus V-II is a unique wall object in which wool, movement, and artisanal detail come together. The base of natural beige and white merino wool gives the work a soft, tranquil appearance. The Tencel fibers provide a very subtle sheen that only becomes visible when the light hits it.

Over this moves an organic felt form that emerges like a knot, giving the work depth, direction, and character. The Plexus series requires more material and a more laborious creation process than flatter felted wall works. As a result, this piece gains a more pronounced shape and an almost object-like presence, without losing its soft and understated character.

The subtle lurex threads are refinedly incorporated into the surface and catch the light softly. Not overtly shiny, but just enough to give the work something special. It is precisely the combination of soft wool, organic form, natural sheen, and understated details that makes Plexus V-II special to view up close.

Due to the 33 × 33 cm size, this work has more presence than the smaller variant. From a distance, Plexus V-II looks calm and serene; up close, you see the rounded shapes, the fibers, the relief, and the small details that belong to handmade textile work.

care & material

The artworks by Vilt & Vlow are made from high-quality, mulesing-free merino wool and natural materials. Wool is naturally dirt- and moisture-repellent and therefore stays beautiful for a long time. Dust can be carefully removed with a feather duster, lint roller, or a hairdryer on a cold, low setting.

Avoid direct and prolonged sunlight to prevent discoloration of the natural materials. Small stains can be carefully dabbed with a slightly damp cloth.
