pre-loved Stoob jug – dark brown earthenware
This pre-loved Stoob jug is a characterful ceramic piece made of dark brown earthenware. Its full, rounded belly, narrow neck, and sturdy handle give the jug a classic, artisanal look. With its dark color nuances and visible throwing rings, the piece feels warm, earthy, and lived-in.
The jug is marked on the bottom with Stoob. Stoob is located in Burgenland, Austria, a region known for its pottery craft and ceramic tradition. The wheel-thrown shape, subtle irregularities, and lively surface give this jug its own unique character.
With its height of 26 cm and generous rounded shape, the jug has enough presence as a standalone object without appearing too large or heavy. It looks beautiful on a sideboard, open shelf, side table, or a stack of art books. Thanks to its dark color, it forms a powerful contrast with light materials such as linen, white ceramics, natural wood, and chalky tones.
The jug is beautiful on its own, but also works well with a single branch, dried flower, or understated seasonal greenery. It adds warmth, texture, and history to a calm base.
A pre-loved piece with provenance and character — for those who love pottery with an earthy, artisanal story.
styling tip noii home
Place the jug on a light-colored art book, next to a linen cloth, or in combination with white ceramics. The contrast between the dark earthenware and soft, light materials is what makes it so beautiful in a serene interior.
