Pintu is a decorative tray with a unique weave: thin seagrass fibers are bound into thick strands and combined into a round, surprisingly stable tray. The long handles of twisted seagrass complete the striking and charming design.
Available in two different sizes, Pintu offers countless possibilities to enhance your dining or side table. You can combine it with other decorative accessories such as plants or small sculptures to create a unique eye-catcher. It also proves to be extremely practical when it comes to stylishly transporting food. With Pintu, you bring both natural beauty and functionality into your home.

Material: seagrass
Our trays are made from plant fibres, so they smell and feel wonderfully like nature.
What basket makers usually call 'seagrass' is not actually an (under)water plant, but a small, palm-like plant that is widespread on sandy beaches in the tropics of Asia. The leaves of the plants, which are often cultivated by people, are separated, cut into strips, dried and then processed by hand.

When selecting our local producers, we attach importance to fair wages and good working conditions. Only mature and experienced craftsmen work in the companies where we buy our goods.
