For the frame of the round Bumi wall mirror, sturdy rattan fibers are arranged in a radial shape. Experienced craftsmen must first heat the rattan vigorously so that it becomes flexible and workable. This is how a beautiful, eye-catching mirror is created after a lengthy production process.
Bumi is particularly practical in your home's entrance: it gives guests a great first impression when they enter your home and you can quickly check whether your hair and make-up are in order before you leave. Thanks to the practical hook on the back, the mirror can easily be attached to the wall.

Main material: rattan
Our mirrors are made of plant fibres, so they smell and feel wonderfully of nature.
Rattan palms usually grow in large numbers in dense forests, where they are considered invasive plants, taking up space from other plants and taking up a lot of nutrients from the soil. The stems, which grow quickly without chemical additives, must be cut regularly and can be used as a material for furniture and baskets after drying. This makes rattan an extremely sustainable material that is available in abundance.

Production location:
This mirror is handmade in Java, Indonesia.
When selecting our local producers, we attach importance to fair wages and good working conditions. In the factories where we buy our goods, we only work with adult and experienced craftsmen. No harmful chemicals are used in the production process. Since all work steps are carried out by hand, the production process generates hardly any greenhouse gas emissions. We ensure all this through regular on-site visits and permanent personal contact with the companies.
