samu basket – water hyacinth – soeji
The Samu basket is handwoven from sturdy water hyacinth fibers and has a natural, soft look that fits effortlessly into a timeless interior. Its simple design and flat, round shape make this basket exceptionally practical: perfect for toys, textiles, magazines, or as a compact laundry basket in the bedroom or bathroom.
Water hyacinth is known for its strong, durable fibers. This gives the basket a sturdy feel, yet it remains light enough to move easily. The integrated handles make it comfortable to carry, even when fully loaded. Thanks to its natural open structure, everything you store inside gets plenty of airflow—ideal for laundry, throws, or cushions. Even a large houseplant looks stunning in the Samu.
