set of two black earthenware vases with handle – dark finish – pre-loved
This set of two black earthenware vases with handles has a calm, robust look and instantly brings atmosphere to any interior. The vases each have their own shape: one vase has a pitcher shape with a wide opening, the other has a round belly with a narrower neck. Together they form a powerful and decorative duo.
The earthenware has a deep black finish, where the warm brown and terracotta base layer is subtly visible in some places. This gives the vase set extra depth and a beautiful, lived-in character. The combination of the sheen, the organic shapes, and the visible patina provides a wabi-sabi aesthetic: serene, artisanal, and not perfectly smooth.
The set is reminiscent of artisanal pottery with an ethnic vibe, similar to Mexican earthenware. Due to the black color, the vases remain understated and stylish, making them a great fit for a warm, quiet interior featuring wood, linen, natural stone, and earth tones.
Beautiful as a set in an open cabinet, on a shelf, sideboard, or in the kitchen. The visible scratches, small imperfections in the finish, and subtle irregularities in the surface are part of the charm of these pre-loved pieces. Otherwise, the vases are completely intact and have no chips.
Noii HOME styling tip
Place the two vases together on a shelf, in an open cabinet, or on a sideboard for a quiet but powerful still life. Beautiful in combination with natural wood, linen, lime wash, natural stone, and other pottery. Leave them empty for a sculptural effect, or style one of the vases with a single simple branch or dried flower.
