Limes III Needle Felt Painting – Vilt & Vlow | 33 × 48 cm

Limes III is a white felt painting by Vilt & Vlow and the larger version of Limes I white. White merino wool and white Tencel fibres form a light composition in which lines and soft relief create rhythm and depth. The work is finished in a natural wood floater frame and measures 33 × 48 cm, including the frame.

Material & relief

Limes III is all about the nuances within white. The merino wool forms a soft base, in which white Tencel fibres are subtly incorporated. When the light falls on the work, the surface takes on a soft vibrancy without a pronounced shine.

The lines break up the calm felt surface. From a distance, you mainly see a light, understated composition; up close, the fibres and soft height differences become visible. This allows the work to be viewed both as a whole and in small details.

The natural wood floater frame forms a warm contrast with the white felt and gives the work a refined finish. The larger format gives this felt painting more presence on the wall. Beautiful as a standalone piece above a sideboard, but also as part of a larger wall composition.

Styling tip from Noii HOME

Give Limes III a place on a calm, light wall, where the white tones and the relief become subtly visible. Hang it solo above a sideboard or next to a cabinet. Combine with natural wood, linen, wool and ceramics for a soft cohesion in material.

Also beautiful in combination with the smaller Limes I of 23 × 23 cm. The white tones connect the works, while the difference in size and structure provides variety. Leave some space between the works, so that both keep their own place within the composition.

Next to Limes II, a soft combination of white and natural beige is created. The relief gives each work its own character within the wall composition.

Care & material

Wool is naturally dirt- and moisture-repellent. Carefully remove dust with a feather duster or a hairdryer on a cold, low setting. Avoid direct and prolonged sunlight to prevent discoloration of the natural materials. Small stains can be carefully dabbed with a slightly damp cloth.
