vintage belMondo textured glass tealight holder – 1970s
This vintage tealight holder by belMondo is crafted from heavy, clear textured glass. The circular base is surrounded by five wide, fan-shaped glass elements of varying heights. Together, they form a graphic and almost floral silhouette.
The thick glass features an irregular texture reminiscent of ice. During the day, the surface catches the light; with a lit tealight inside, the edges and reliefs are warmly illuminated. The contrast between the clear glass and the distinct geometric shape gives the object a slightly brutalist aesthetic.
This model was originally designed as a warmer to keep a teapot hot. Today, its form is particularly well-suited as a tealight holder and decorative glass object. An identical version has been found with its original belMondo packaging. The model likely dates back to the 1970s.
With a diameter of 15 cm, the holder has a substantial presence on a coffee table, sideboard, or low cabinet without appearing heavy. Only one piece of this vintage model is available.
styling tip Noii HOME
Place the tealight holder as a standalone piece on a light wooden cabinet or on a stack of art books. The transparent glass keeps the composition airy, while the sturdy shape provides contrast. Also beautiful when combined with matte ceramics, dark metal, or natural linen. Leave enough space around it so that the five fan-shaped glass elements remain clearly visible.
