vintage ice glass tea light holder – clear textured glass
This vintage tea light holder is made of thick, clear textured glass. The round base is composed of rising glass forms with slanted tops. Together, they give the object a sculptural, almost architectural silhouette.
The irregular surface creates the characteristic "ice glass" effect. Once the tea light is lit, the light is refracted by the heavy glass, creating warm reflections between the varying heights. Even without a lit candle, it remains a unique glass object to style with.
Originally, this type of glass object was used as a warmer to keep a teapot hot. Now, it works beautifully as a tea light holder and home accessory on a coffee table, sideboard, cabinet, or set table.
Similar designs are associated with West German glass design from the 1960s and 70s. Because this piece is unmarked, the precise manufacturer cannot be determined with certainty. Only one of this vintage tea light holder is available.
Styling tip from Noii HOME
Place the tea light holder on a large art book or wooden tray and combine it with a matte ceramic object. The contrast between the clear, shiny glass and a calm, matte surface makes the shape stand out beautifully. Due to its low profile, it also fits well in the center of a coffee table.
